WVBE Policy 2525 West Virginia's Universal Access to Early Education System was revised to meet new code requiring pre-k programs to offer at least fifteen hundred minutes per week and forty-eight thousand minutes of instruction per year. The policy was revised in sections §126-28-4. County Collaborative Early Childhood Team, §126-28-10. Transitions, §126-28-11. Meals, and §126-28-18. Program Assessment and Continuous Quality Improvement. The revised policy is effective August 15, 2016 and can be accessed at wvde.state.wv.us/policies/.

PALS fall window for Pre-K and K begin 6 weeks after the first day of class. PALS Plus window begins 2 weeks after the first day of class. The recommended final date for collecting data is November 3. Score entry deadline for this window is December 15.
PALS mid-year window begins January 3. The recommended final date for collecting screening data is February 16. Score entry deadline for this window is March 16.
PALS spring window begins April 23. It is recommended the final date for collecting screening data is June 1. Score entry deadline for this window is June 29.
